Storylines[]
On November 3, 2022, Harrison Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine meet Blaze, the new female artist Chase will be recording with, at Charlie's Pub. Brook Lynn mistakes Blaze for a fan as Chase just had an encounter with one but Blaze introduces herself and flirts with Chase. Brook Lynn apologizes and says she didn't recognize Blaze without her makeup. Blaze says the entourage is for show. She is under Linc Brown Managementโฆfor now.
Chase says Blaze's music is fantastic and Brook Lynn agrees. Blaze asks if they have met Linc and Brook Lynn says they go way back. Blaze asks how long Chase and Brook Lynn have been together. Brook Lynn says she recently started managing Chase and sees potential in him as well as in Chase's collaboration with Blaze.
Linc appears behind them and says he agrees. Brook Lynn says Chase brings innocence as well as sex appeal. Blaze jokes to him about thinking the boy band craze was dead. Linc says Blaze brings a counterbalance as he takes her hand which she quickly pushes away. Chase and Brook Lynn notice this. Linc continues that Blaze has a "been there, done that" vibe.
Brook Lynn says Chase isn't naรฏve. He's a performer and an artist like Blaze. Chase says he can speak for himself too and Brook Lynn gives him and Blaze some time alone as she and Linc get up. Chase tells Blaze he was discovered because a cosmetic tycoon heard him singing in the shower and she was a good person.
Blaze laughs at this story and says it sounds fake. Chase points out Blaze probably isn't her real name. She says she goes by Ally or Alison. Chase says she is giving him a hard time about his innocent vibe. She says everyone needs a shtick and Chase's "boy in blue" thing will take him far.
Linc comes over with Brook Lynn and is pleased to see the singers hitting it off. He leaves with Blaze, and Brook Lynn says she seemed nice. Chase isn't sure Blaze feels the same about Linc and considering Linc's sketchy past with Brook Lynn, he tends to agree. Brook Lynn thinks they might be projecting based on her own experience with Linc so Chase should stop thinking like a cop. They need to make Chase a big star to bring down Linc.
On November 22 at Kelly's, Chase and Brook Lynn meet with Blaze and Linc. Blaze complains to Brook Lynn about not singing backup for Chase as it is boring. Chase and Brook Lynn see Linc trying to repeatedly touch Blaze who pushes him away. Brook Lynn tells Linc that they should go talk somewhere else together. Once alone, Chase points out to Blaze that Linc is sexually harassing her. She says she doesn't care as she doesn't want to get a reputation for being difficult.
Chase goes over the song and Blaze admits the song is great and she was posturing. She doesn't recognize herself with all the wigs and costumes. Blaze tells Chase she would like to do a folk song. Her first manager came up with her look and she went along with it. Linc signed her as a pop singer and said her fans won't accept anything else. Chase tells Blaze he likes staying the same and talks about enjoying his job as a cop.
Chase refers to Brook Lynn as the reason he is singing. Blaze says she has to run for a costume fitting and she bumps into Dante Falconeri at the door who Brook Lynn had texted. He tells her his son, Rocco Falconeri is a big fan but he didn't recognize her without her makeup on. Linc tries to get Brook Lynn to compliment him to others and he will give her back her unused songs in her songbook in return. But she cannot tell anyone about Linc's harassment of Blaze and other female singers. Brook Lynn is conflicted. When Chase finds out from Dante that Brook Lynn never sent in the letter to the CCRB to plead his case for becoming a policeman again, he breaks up with her.
On December 19, Brook Lynn asks Chase if he is still planning on performing with Blaze tomorrow at the Rice PlazaGingerbread Jam concert. Chase seems like he will be a no-show but he finds out he is up for consideration to become a policeman in the spring as Brook Lynn finally sent in her letter and made calls to the CCRB for him. He arrives in time and tells Brook Lynn he will only help her bring down Linc but they are still broken up. "Chase and Blaze" perform several songs at the concert together as it starts to snow.
In April 2023, Blaze performs again with Chase, this time at The Nurses' Ball. Linc continues to harass her, this time more overtly, to the point where she publicly outs him as a sexual predator and Det. Dante Falconeri arrests him.
On April 17, now going by her real name, Alison Rogers, she shows up at the N.Y.C. Civilian Complaint Review Board to support Chase's bid to be reinstated into the police force; speaking to the board personally.
On September 21, Brook Lynn tells Ned (as "Eddie Maine") that she is planning to work with Blaze after being fired from Deception. Brook Lynn later calls Blaze and arranges to meet her soon.
On October 16, Lucy and Maxie meet with Alison about becoming the new "Face of Deception."
On October 23, Lucy and Maxie arrive at work to find Tracy waiting for them. Tracy is all business - telling them with her 51% ownership, she expects to be informed of all major decisions, including changing "The Face of Deception." She demands Sasha remain the face of Deception. Lucy argues that Sasha has been through hell, being thrown into the public eye is cruel, not to mention her troubles have been bad for publicity.
Tracy reminds Lucy that Sasha was the face that relaunched her precious company, and dropping someone because of mental health issues is also bad publicity. Maxie believes Tracy is urging them to have a heart and give Sasha another chance. Tracy thanks Maxie for understanding. Tracy and Maxie both believe Sasha deserves a break. Lucy counters they've agreed on changing the "Face" of the company. Tracy overrules her and demands Lucy reinstate Sasha's contract today.
On October 30, after Blaze meets Sasha, she goes to Lucy and officially turns down the offer. She also advises Lucy to stick with Sasha as the Face of Deception. Maxie visits with Sasha, asking her to come back to Deception - which she gleefully accepts.
On May 1, Blaze is signed on as the new house model. Before she can however, her mother, Natalia Rogers-Ramirez storms in and starts red-lining the contract. She wonders what happened with the last model; Lucy explains Sasha was too wholesome, and the industry needs someone edgy. Natalia vetoes the idea of her daughter being a spokes-model, or "traveling saleswoman."
Blaze finds she agrees with her mom - she's a singer and performer, and would they be open to hiring another model for the shopping channel and meet-and-greet appearances? Lucy agrees, claiming to like the idea of 2 faces. Natalia also wants their word that her daughter will remain a "woman of mystery" - be known for her beauty and music, no pieces on her personal life. They all agree and Blaze signs on.
