Nurse Amy Driscoll[4] is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital.

She has been portrayed by actress Risa Dorken since the character's debut on May 4, 2016.

On April 7, 2016, Soap Opera Digest broke the news that Risa Dorken had been cast as nosy nurse Amy [Driscoll].

Both Amy's name and personality bear quite a resemblence to Amy Vining, the long-running nurse played by the late Shell Kepler; Amy is described as “a spunky new nurse who just can’t help herself from gossiping and putting her nose in other’s business.”[5][6]

Dorken made her first appearance on May 4, 2016.[7]

On November 14, 2019, it was revealed that Dorken, who hasn't been seen since May as part of the 2019 Nurses' Ball, will return as Amy Driscoll soon.[8] She returned on December 20, 2019.

Amy attended Port Charles High School with Dillon Quartermaine, Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Maxie Jones. She was into films like Dillon and had a major crush on him, that she still harbors to this day.

On May 4, 2016, Amy is seen at the hospital gossiping to Maxie Jones. Amy was also a suspect in the hospital murders.

Amy performs

Amy attends and performs in the 2016 The Nurses' Ball.

In March 2017, it was mentioned that she lives with Kristina Corinthos-Davis.[9]

Amy tries to hide

In April 2017, it was revealed that Amy knows Dillon Quartermaine from high school.

In May 2017, Amy revealed that Maxie was a witch in high school and she was head cheerleader and cut Amy from the team because she wasn't the right type.

Amy and Emma

Amy, Emma, Valerie and Kristina perform to "Brave" at the Nurses' Ball

Amy walks the red carpet at the 2017 Nurses' Ball alone and tries to hide from the hosts but Nathan saves her and says she's with him. Weeks later, Amy and Nathan team up as Ask Man Landers with him as the face.

Amy and her brother, Chet

In November 2017, Amy's brother, Chet showed up in Port Charles and ends up at GH after an overdose.

In August 2020, Amy sings an original song with Epiphany, Deanna, and the nurse who wrote the song at the Nurses Ball.

On October 2, Brook Lynn runs into Amy at Charlie's Pub. They are old friends from PC High who used to sing together. They reminisce, and realizing Amy still has a wonderful voice while hers is still out of commission under doctors orders, Brook Lynn is able to convince (after some pleading) Amy to record the "Deception" song for her, so Brook Lynn can lipsynch to it.

On October 14, Amy secretly shows up at a "Deception" buyer pitch, wanting to see everyone react to her song. Brook Lynn convinces her to stay out of the way, and hiding behind a door in the Metro Court, Amy watches the chaos of the sales pitch, including Lucy claiming Brook Lynn can sing for the buyer right then and there.
