In 2018, to exact revenge on the Corinthos family, Nelle Benson convinced Brad Cooper to switch her living newborn son, Jonah Corinthos, with his deceased newborn son, Wiley Cooper-Jones.

On July 30, 2018, Nelle has a son named Jonah Corinthos. The father is Michael Corinthos. Nelle had help from (unknowingly to Nelle) her own biological great-aunt Dr. Liesl Obrecht with her son's delivery. He was switched at birth by his mother with the deceased adoptive son of Brad Cooper and Dr. Lucas Jones. Wiley had died of SIDS the night Brad took him home. Brad had stopped in the woods on his way to the hospital where he met Nelle.
Brad soon confided in his father-in-law Julian Jerome that he switched babies but Brad claimed that a homeless woman had given him her baby. On September 9, 2019, Julian figured out the truth and tried to force Brad to confess the switch.
On November 7, Brad confessed everything to his best friend Dr. Britt Westbourne.
On November 28, Julian sabotaged Brad's car and Julian's son Lucas ended up driving and crashed into another car. Brad had confessed the baby switch to Lucas right before the crash. On December 4, Lucas went into a coma for several months and Brad was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Liesl soon heard from Maxie Jones that Michael was grieving his son who died after being born. Since Liesl helped Nelle give birth, she knew that was a lie.

On December 26, 2018, Liesl confronted Nelle in prison and forced Nelle to confess that she convinced Brad to switch Jonah with Brad and Lucas' dead adopted son Wiley.
Lucas finally remembered the switch after waking from his coma on February 5, 2020 and Jonah was given back to his father on February 19, 2020. After Sonny threatened him, Brad confessed to everything and went to prison. Michael renamed Jonah as Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine blackmails Julian after figuring out that Julian and Brad were involved in the baby switch when she saw them together.
Julian was also blackmailed into marrying Nelle because she knew his part in the baby switch. When Nelle dies, she has a letter sent to Ryan Chamberlain in Pentonville Penitentiary detailing Julian's involvement.
Julian asks for Cyrus Renault's help to silence Ryan who was contacting Ava Jerome and Sonny Corinthos and as a result, Ryan is stabbed in the back and ends up in a coma. Cyrus receives the letter and blackmails Julian with it.
On November 24, Britt tells Sonny that Julian was working with Brad and knew about the baby switch for months.
On March 11, 2020, Brad is remanded to Pentonville Penitentiary for his part in the kidnapping and baby switch. While the switch was Nelle's idea, her lawyer Zahra Amir gets the charges dropped due to lack of evidence.
On December 14, 2021, Brad's parole hearing began. Michael Corinthos and Willow Tait showed up for his parole hearing - as did Brad's aunt, Selina Wu. Michael told the parole board about how Brad conspired with Nelle to switch Willow's dead baby with Michael's living one. He also explained how Brad allowed him and his family to grieve for over a year and a half before they found out he was alive and that Willow's son had died. After Michael finished speaking, Brad talked to the parole board and apologized to Michael and Willow for his actions. Brad promised to live a life of virtue if they granted him parole. Afterwards, the parole board convened as Brad was taken away.
Later on, Selina called and revealed to him that the board made their decision - Brad's parole has been granted and Brad will be released in a few days.
