Bad Jen Café is a local café in Port Charles, New York and originally near the Undisclosed W.S.B. Training Facility.

History

On April 3, 2025, Josslyn Jacks runs into her handler, S. Vaughn, at this cafe. She had noticed he has a "Bad Jen" coffee mug and wanted to check out the restaurant. They chat, and she witnesses him "covertly" exchange a note with the barista.

Back at the training facility, Josslyn tells Jack Brennan that she saw Vaughn exchange a note with a woman at a coffee shop. This is revealed to be a test for Josslyn and she passed. She is now ready for her first WSB assignment and can return home.

On May 15, Lulu Spencer is at the coffee shop while she continues her adoption investigation. She calls the St. Ignatius Catholic adoption agency in Brooklyn. Cody Bell runs into her and states that Tracy Quartermaine said she dropped her adoption story. She claims she's only tying up some loose ends. Lulu admits she's looking into finding Brook Lynn Quartermaine's son with Dante Falconeri, whom she gave up for adoption.

Cody is shocked, having assumed Brook Lynn terminated the pregnancy as she never mentioned the baby again. Lulu explains how she accidentally uncovered the adoption, and confronted Brook Lynn, who confirmed it. Cody never thought Brook Lynn would keep a secret like this from Dante. She agrees, especially since Dante deserves to known he has another child. As someone who has been lied to for most of his life about who he is, Cody wants to help.

Lulu is relieved, and they agree they need more information before they tell Dante. She gets a call back and finds out the church closed its adoption agency in 1987. Therefore, Brook Lynn couldn't have used them to put her baby up for adoption. Cody asks why she'd lie about using that agency? Lulu thinks Brook Lynn lied because she knows where her son is, and that he's Gio Palmieri.

On July 2, Emma Scorpio-Drake is hanging out with her dog Outback at the café. Gio Palmieri arrives and claims the dog is a dirty little thief who keeps stealing his shoes. Emma wonders if maybe Outback isn't the problem, and the real issue he's having is finding out about his parents.

Gio admits it's true, but he isn't ready to talk about it. He knows he's been a big downer to be around lately. Emma assures him that she and her grandma, Anna Devane love having him live with them. He then admits he's dropping out of PCU. He's supposed to be the first chair violin in the fall, but he has no intention of playing music again, which means he'll lose his scholarship. Emma suggests he wait, as he may feel differently by September, and may want that spot.

He agrees that he may go back to music one day, but he needs a clean break right now. He says that without passion, that his music is just hollow. To him, that makes music one more thing his family has stolen from him. She convinces him not to drop out just yet, and suggests they find out what else he's passionate about.

• This set was also used for Xtreme Motors, Hursly Motors, the Nixon Falls Firehouse, the Port Charles Emergency Services exterior, and the Amsterdam Koffie Huis.
• This cafe was initially outside Port Charles, as it was close to the Undisclosed W.S.B. Training Facility, and Josslyn Jacks visited it while she was supposedly out of the country. As of May 15, the cafe is now located within the city boundaries.
