On May 21, 2020, Maxie Jones stands up, feels lightheaded, and almost collapses while working on a photo-shoot at Deception Cosmetics all morning. Her boyfriend Peter August makes her take a meal break. Later Maxie is seen checking the month of April in her daily calendar with a concerned look on her face as Peter notices that she hasn't eaten another bite of her meal. She agrees with Peter that maybe she will go see a doctor.
On August 7, Maxie goes to see Dr. Navarro at GH. She tells Lulu Spencer that she has had three positive home pregnancy tests and admits that she is definitely pregnant but has another test done anyway. She later runs into Peter at the hospital and lies about the reason she is there.
On August 19, during the 2020 Nurses' Ball, Maxie accidentally reveals to everyone that she is pregnant after a microphone malfunction with Lulu, before her Deception Cosmetics pitch. Peter finds Maxie afterward and she confirms that she is pregnant. They embrace and share in their excitement for the baby. Mac and Anna join them and they confirm the news to the grandparents-to-be who are both overjoyed.
On September 3, Peter and Maxie have an appointment with Dr. Navarro. They see the baby for the first time and hear the heartbeat during the ultrasound. The baby is healthy and progressing right on target. After the appointment, they meet Anna at the Metro Court Hotel and proudly show her the baby's ultrasound photo.
On October 13, Maxie and Peter got engaged at General Hospital after getting a clean bill of health on the baby. Peter's sister, Britt was present for the engagement.
On December 21, Maxie and Peter find out they are having a baby girl and share the news with Anna and Valentin. On Christmas Eve, Peter and Maxie decide to name the baby Louise, with the nickname Lu, to honor Lulu.
On March 5, 2021, Maxie is rushed to the hospital. She collapsed from the stress due to learning the truth about Peter's lies and deceptions. Maxie recovers and continues her pregnancy in good health.
Bailey meets her grandma (2022)
With Peter's lies and crimes exposed, Maxie plots with Britt and Brook Lynn to protect Louise. They devise a plan to pass Louise off as Brook Lynn's daughter with Valentin in order to protect her. Brook Lynn, who is faking her pregnancy, was also in need of a child to complete her scheme against Valentin.
On November 19, Valentin finally learned from Brook Lynn that "Bailey" wasn't his daughter. Chase claimed he was Bailey's father to cover for Brook Lynn as he had learned the truth.
In February, her true identity was revealed, her villainous father Peter was finally stopped (and killed) and she returned to her mother Maxie, who renamed her "Bailey Louise Jones."

Showdown for Louise (2021)
On May 27, 2021, Louise was born in the Pautauk State Park after Maxie escaped from Peter's fake nurse Marie Hopkins who was posing as nanny Chloe Jennings. She was found by Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt, who helped her give birth. Louise's birth is very similar to that of her older half-brother James, who was born on the side of the road.
Austin notices Louise isn't breathing and holds her close to his body until she starts crying. Then he gives her to Maxie who thanks him and says she needs to get to Beechers Corners as someone is waiting there for her.
Austin says that he will take her there if they can stop at the hospital first. He prepares to call for an ambulance but Marie hits Austin in the head with a fire-poker and knocks him unconscious.
Maxie kicks Marie in the shin and runs over to a boarded up spot on the ground. She puts some rocks on the boards and Marie comes after Maxie who asks if she has kids. Marie says she doesn't but maybe she will take Maxie's baby. Maxie wonders if that is what this is all about. Marie falls through the boards, lands in an abandoned mine shaft and dies instantly.
Maxie calls Brook Lynn who arrives in the woods and takes the baby from Maxie. Austin wakes up and asks where the baby is. He is taken by ambulance to G.H. with Maxie.
At the hospital, a determined and distraught Maxie spins a tale that Marie kidnapped her baby, leading to Peter to confess to his misdeeds. She lays into him, finally able to tell him how she feels, and having recorded it all, sends it to Mac. Stunned and cornered, Peter runs.

Brook Lynn takes care of Louise, spinning her own tale to Michael and Willow who she calls to help her. They bring her to GH, where Maxie is getting looked after, the police are searching for Peter on the run, and Finn and Elizabeth are dealing with getting the antidote for an ill Chase, leading to Peter's presumed death.
"Parents" with their "daughter" (2021)
Brook Lynn and Maxie see each other, where she gets a peak at her secret daughter. Valentin then finds them, and Brook Lynn introduces him to their "daughter" - Bailey Lois Quartermaine. He falls in love with "his daughter" immediately, and they take her back to the Quartermaine Mansion. There, Olivia dotes on her new step-granddaughter, and Valentin, Brook Lynn, and "Bailey" share a tender moment with each other. They call themselves lucky, that they will love their daughter and will do anything to protect her.
On June 29, 2021, Deception Cosmetics launches a collaboration with Crimson Magazine, for the "Year of the Mother" campaign. Valentin convinced Lucy to hire Brook Lynn on, this time as social media manager. She secretly tells Maxie that while they both work for Crimson/Deception, "Bailey" will be mere yards away at daycare in the building, allowing both of her "moms" to visit her without arousing suspicions. Maxie is grateful, and agrees to Sasha's plan for a candlelight vigil. The goal is to inform the public about missing children nationwide, and help in the search for Louise and the fugitive Peter.
On August 23, Peter was seen alive and stalking Maxie in Nixon Falls.
On November 19, Valentin finally learned that "Bailey" wasn't his daughter and that Brook Lynn had lied to him. Brook Lynn felt bad but she said that there was a reason why she didn't tell him sooner. Shortly after, Chase's investigation into Louise led him to the truth about Bailey and he claimed to be her father. Soon, Victor, Valentin, and Austin also realized the truth. Victor told Peter, who ended up kidnapping her on February 4th. Once Chase and Brook Lynn realized what happened to Bailey, they and Maxie finally told everyone the truth of who Bailey/Louise really was. Maxie went to confront Peter, and convinced him to let them leave Louise behind at the fire department for safe surrender. This emergency services notifies Laura as the mayor, who sends Anna and Chase to collect Louise.
