Actor Brian Gross joined GH on September 18, 2019 as Peter August's hitman. He went offscreen on September 20, but later returned a month later on October 10.
On September 18, 2019, Peter August met with a guy named Bryce on Pier 55 and paid him for his previous services. Bryce was upset because Peter gave him less than he originally promised him but Peter said that he only completed half of the job since Andre Maddox was still alive. Peter eventually ordered Bryce to leave but called him back and ordered him to kill Hank Archer AKA Shiloh.
Bryce cleaned himself up, got a haircut and a shave, and dressed as a prison guard and was at Shiloh's trial. Eventually, when Shiloh was remanded back to Pentonville after court was adjourned for the day, Bryce told another guard that he would help him escort the prisoner. However, Bryce attacked the guard and let Shiloh escape.
On October 10, 2019, Bryce appeared again when he was arrested for his crimes and he used his one phone call to call Peter, who ordered him to frame Sam McCall for Shiloh's escape. Bryce told police commissioner Jordan Ashford and FBI Agent Edward Caldwell that Sam was the one who orchestrated Shiloh's escape and that she hired him to do the job. As a result, Sam was arrested due to being framed.
