Officer Byron Murphy is a fictional character in the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.
He was played by Mykel Shannon Jenkins in 2004 and 2005. Jenkins won the contract role after he won the first season of the reality-competition program, I Wanna Be a Soap Star, which aired on SOAPnet in 2004. Jenkins' initial contract was for 13 weeks, but his contract was extended.
Storylines[]
In June of 2005 Jesse was being chased by cops in the hospital and to get away he went into Maxie Jones' hospital room. He was wanted for shooting John Durant but really a cop named Byron Murphy shot John and he framed Jesse.
