Situated in the historic Charles Street district, Charlie's Pub was established in 2017. Julian Jerome, after selling Derek Wells Media, used his severance to buy the pub, which was originally owned by Charlie Delaney.
Weeks after Julian took over, Sonny Corinthos coerced him into serving Corinthos Coffee. Julian, weary of Sonny's intimidation, eventually stopped serving it. The pub is famed for its avocado toast, the Chocolate Volcano cake favored by Oscar Nero-Quartermaine, and its pizza oven.
In 2018, it came to light that Charlie Delaney, a gambler and associate of Mike Corbin, was implicated in a past crime. In 1985, Mike, having seen Sonny bury a body while working for Joe Scully, had Charlie move the body to be buried under the pub's foundation, and disposed of the gun in a lake.
In October 2018, Julian reluctantly hired Kristina Corinthos-Davis as a bartender. Oscar Nero-Quartermaine also volunteered as a busboy for the pub until his death the following year. Daisy Kwan waited tables while recruiting members to the "Dawn of Day Cult."
In August 2019, Julian and his long-term girlfriend Kim Nero decided to move to Manhattan to have a fresh start away from her son Oscar's death. Julian bought a restaurant there and sold Charlie's to his son Leo's mom Olivia Quartermaine. When they broke up and Kim left town, the sale was cancelled, and Julian kept his pub.
After Julian's death in December 2020, Ava Jerome finds out her brother Julian left the pub to her - and she told Alexis that Kristina would always have a job there. Ava and Nikolas Cassadine are later surprised by Julian's ex-wifeAlexis Davis, at the pub. Still drinking, Alexis opens up about her addiction to Julian and their toxic relationship, telling her nephew and his wife that she hopes it's not a cautionary tale for them.
In September 2021, as Ava decided to leave town for a while, she put the bar up for sale, and gave the keys to Kristina, making her the new manager. That same month, Sonny and Nina Reeves jointly buy the pub and give it to their close friend, the recently widowedPhyllis Caulfield. Eventually, Sonny hands over the deed to Phyllis. She mostly works behind the scenes, while Kristina essentially runs the pub.
On December 9, 2024, it is revealed by Sonny that Phyllis moved back home to Nixon Falls - so he gives the pub to his daughter and its former manager Kristina who takes down pictures on the wall as she wants a new beginning for the pub.
Just before the new year, Kristina has the pub redecorated - blue hues from neon lights and framed guitars on the walls. This is also when Lucky Spencer gets a bartender job at the pub.
On March 31, 2025, after cutting the brakes on her uncleRic Lansing's car (thinking it was Ava's), Kristina witnesses the car crash - with, unfortunately, Elizabeth Baldwin as a passenger. Lucky shows up, and a shaken Kristina shares with him that she cut the brake lines, and it was supposed to be Ava's car! Lucky tells Kristina to get back to Charlie's. As far as anyone knows, she's been doing inventory all evening. It's only after she's left that Lucky realizes his girlfriend Elizabeth was in the car and in critical condition.
At the pub, Molly runs into Cody and thanks him for getting through to her dad. She is thrilled that her parents had called a truce, as they have had a contentious relationship most of her life. She calls him a miracle worker and admits she might have been wrong about him. She gives him her card and tells him to consider it a get-out-of-jail card for when he gets in trouble next.
She is happy to then see her sister behind the bar. Kristina lies, saying she's been busy with inventory, but she can hang out for a second. They join Mac and Cody, but Kristina's mind is on the accident and not telling her sister that her father was in a car accident - nor that she caused it. They are interrupted by a call from GH letting Molly know about her dad, and they all rush to the hospital.
On June 30, 2025, two masked men break in and spread gasoline everywhere. Kristina comes in the back entrance and heads behind the bar, where she notices the gas on the floor. Suddenly, a Molotov cocktail is thrown through the window, and a fire breaks out. It is revealed on July 1 & 2, 2025, that Jenz Sidwell hired two Wu henchman, Dan and Simon, to firebomb the pub. Selina Wu deftly tells him she goes to great lengths to stay on Sonny's good side - and when she learns of what Sidwell did, acknowledges, "You set me up."
Kristina later mentioned that the building was beyond repair and needed to be raised, so she wouldn’t be reopening the pub.
