The Eisenschaft Bank is a bank located in Bern, Switzerland.
Storylines[]
Cesar Faison and his sonHenrik frequently used the Eisenschaft Bank to bounce money around various accounts and store items in their safe deposit boxes. Henrik was one of the bank manager, Herr Bruhl's, personal banking clients.
In April 2018, Anna Devane and Jason Morgan arrive in Bern during the search for Henrik. Damian Spinelli traced some of Henrik's money to the Eisenschaft Bank and Anna and Jason were planning on following another lead at some boarding schools.
At the same time, Sam McCall was vacationing in Bern with her children. She ran into Jason at their hotel and when he updated her on the investigation, she told him about Faison's safe deposit box. After her mother, Alexis Davis, arrives to take the children back to Port Charles, Sam decides to help Jason and Spinelli infiltrate the bank.
Sam poses as a wealthy heiress looking to move some of her assets to Switzerland and Jason poses as her bodyguard. They meet the bank manager Herr Bruhl and Sam plants a virus on his computer using a flash drive. The virus gave Spinelli full access and control of the bank.
Spinelli, as The Jackal, enters the heist and hacks Herr Bruhl's computer. He discovers that Herr Bruhl has embezzled millions from several wealthy and dangerous figures. The trio decide to use the information to blackmail Herr Bruhl into staying quiet about the heist.
He also got evidence that Herr Bruhl went on an hunting expedition to hunt endangered species. Disgusted, Sam and Spinelli make a $4 million donation from Herr Bruhl's account to the wildlife preservation fund. Jason refocuses them on finding Henrik. Spinelli discovers that a recent deposit was made to the bank - payment for the publication of "The Severed Branch," but the money had already been sent out in a wire transfer to another bank in Iceland. They also found a photo of Henrik, but quickly realized that it was false and computer generated.
Spinelli finds Faison's safe deposit box and discovers it was accessed after his death by Herr Bruhl. Henrik paid Herr Bruhl 50,000 euros to open the safe deposit box and retrieve letters addressed to Jason and Drew Cain. One was a standard letter and the other held the flash drive with Drew's memories. Both were left in a birdhouse in the Bärengraben in February.
Jason takes Herr Bruhl to the vault and they retrieve the safe deposit box to see what else is inside. Inside the safe deposit box they find 300,000 euros, sapphires, papers with codes and a conundrum box marked with the Cassadine family crest on the top. The conundrum box was designed to be opened by one specific person, and if anyone else attempts to open it, the box will immediately self-destruct in an explosion to vaporize its contents and anyone in its proximity.
Jason, Sam and Spinelli leave with the conundrum box and donate the rest of the items in the safe deposit box to charity. They head back to the hotel and deliver the conundrum box to Anna and Robert Scorpio, who had arrived to assist in the hunt for Henrik. Jason, Sam and Spinelli leave the conundrum box with Anna and Robert, who later deliver it to the W.S.B.
