The General Hospital Chapel is a chapel situated on the first floor of the hospital where relatives of patients can pray, and it has also been the venue for several deathbed weddings.
There have been two renovations; the first sometime between 1996 and 2006, and the second in late 2021.
Olivia Quartermaine has been known to frequent the chapel, as a devoted Catholic who prays often for her loved ones in medical crisis.

In 1984, when Dr. Lesley Webber, was presumed dead in a car accident, the residents of Port Charles held her funeral in the General Hospital chapel.
In March 2006, the citizens of Port Charles come together in the chapel once again to mourn the passing of Dr. Tony Jones.
On the 51st anniversary of General Hospital, April 1, 2014, Sonny Corinthos, engaged in a conversation with the three different "versions" of Carly Spencer in the chapel, each represented by the actresses who have portrayed her.
Sonny and Carly married for the fourth time in the chapel on October 14, 2015.
Dr. Griffin Munro first arrived in Port Charles in February 2016, having taken over the neurosurgery position vacated by Dr. Patrick Drake. Griffin is introduced in the hospital chapel, where he bonds with Sonny. He is soon assigned to become Sonny's doctor.
In late 2021, Sonny and Nina Reeves argue about their secret feelings and possible relationship with each other, which is overheard by Willow. This information comes out weeks later at Nina's trial for her actions against Sonny.
February 3, 2023, friends and family gather to memorialize Britt Westbourne after her death at the hands of the Hook.
On March 29, 2023, the day after Epiphany Johnson's sudden death, her friends and colleagues gathered first at the chapel to memorialize her, then onto the rooftop to watch (illegal) fireworks, per her request. There her friends meet the nurse that Epiphany died saving, as they all fondly eulogize Epiphany with great memories and advice she gave. Her longtime friend, colleague, and protege, Nurse Elizabeth Webber, had taken the unfortunate call and hearing the sad news the day before. At the chapel, she takes a call from the esteemed and beloved Dr. Monica Quartermaine, who is out of town as a keynote speaker...Monica reads Elizabeth the wonderful note Epiphany had written in her support, including her wish that Elizabeth be made Head Nurse.

The Travel Guide to Port Charles: When to Go, Where to Live, Who to Love and Who to Never, Ever Cross in America's Most Dramatic City states that the chapel is located on the second floor near the entrance of the Stone Cates Memorial AIDS Wing. However, the hospital's on-screen signage states that it is on the first floor.
