Gladys Corbin is a fictional character on the ABC Soap opera General Hospital.
The role has been played by Bonnie Burroughs since July 3, 2019.
Casting
Actress Bonnie Burroughs first appeared as Gladys Corbin on July 3, 2019.
On December 20, 2019, Soaps.com announced that Burroughs will return to GH as Gladys during the week of December 23. She returned on December 26.
Background
Gladys Corbin is the cousin of Mike Corbin and she had a son named Brando who was allegedly killed in Iraq. Sonny paid her to pretend that Dev Cerci is Brando's son, therefore, her grandson Devin Corbin.
Storylines
On July 3, 2019, Sonny met with Gladys in a cafe at Bridgeport and she wasn't too happy to see him. He brought up her son Brando and asked for her help. He told her about a kid named Dev Cerci and that he needed her to pretend to be his grandmother by saying her son Brando had a kid named "Devin Corbin." Gladys was initially reluctant but Sonny paid her a large sum of money and she eventually agreed.
On September 3, Gladys showed up at the Metro Court and spent some time with her cousin Mike Corbin and met Sonny's wife Carly. Mike asked Gladys about Frankie and Gladys said Frankie isn’t here anymore (implying he died or broke up with Gladys). She also met her "grandson" Dev and they hugged in front of Jasper Jacks since it was all for show. Sonny later got a private moment with Gladys and warned her not to renegotiate the terms of their deal they made.
