Storylines
On September 19-20, 2019, after Robert Scorpio is made District Attorney, he introduces A.D.A. Jennifer Arden as his co-counsel to Mayor Laura Collins. Arden’s first case is against Shiloh and his lawyer Elena Soto. Robert tells Laura that he has had many conversations with Arden about Shiloh to prepare for this case. Later Robert informs Willow and Chase that Arden will be asking the questions during the trial. Shiloh represented himself on the stand and said that he is the leader of Dawn of Day but claimed that he is not a cult leader and that DOD only do good work in their community. They gave therapeutic help to the Davis family and Sam McCall came into the group with ulterior motives while conspiring with Jason Morgan. The prosecutor, D.A. Robert Scorpio objects to this but the judge sustained it. Shiloh revealed that Sam married his dad (Henry Archer) under an alias and swiped their family's inheritance before Arden questioned him about The Trust and the women pledged into it. The judge then ended questioning for the day and ordered that Shiloh be returned to Pentonville, but the van never made it back to the prison and Shiloh made his escape.
Arden was next seen on March 4, 2020 during Nelle Benson’s criminal trial. Nelle was using Shiloh’s family attorney Zahra Amir. The fake passports that Nelle was going to use to flee the country with her child Wiley were lost due to Valentin Cassadine and she was set free.
On March 11, Arden is the opposing counsel for Brad Cooper whose attorney was Scott Baldwin. Sonny Corinthos threatened Brad to plead guilty for switching Michael’s baby with the baby that Brad and Lucas adopted who died of SIDS. Brad surprised Scott by pleading guilty while insisting that it was Nelle’s idea to swap the babies.
On March 31, 2022, ADA Arden returns during Trina's hearing as she was arrested for having a burner phone that had an illegal recording of Cameron and Josslyn. The recording was planted in Trina's purse by Esme and later sent to the PCU campus. Trina pleads not guilty and Arden tries to argue that Trina is a threat. Judge Young rules that Trina is not a threat and she is released without bond until her upcoming trial
On April 14, Arden walks into the PCPD and greets Jordan who is with Dante. Arden asks if there are any developments in the Trina Robinson case. Jordan says not yet. Arden says the case is circumstantial but they need more. Dante points out that it sounds like Arden is really going after Trina. Arden says that Trina made revenge porn which she may have thought was a prank but it is actually a felony.
Arden walks away and Jordan tells Dante that she also believes Trina didn’t film the video. But if the labs come back and aren’t what they are hoping, they still have to hand them to Arden. Dante wonders if Arden has it in for Trina. Jordan says it has nothing to do with Trina. Arden is a crusader. If the evidence points to guilt, the person is guilty but she will drop it if the evidence doesn’t point to them. Dante says they need to find evidence to exonerate Trina. Jordan says it needs to happen soon as Arden is a skilled prosecutor with a strong record of convictions. Trina could go to prison for a crime she didn’t commit.
