Dr. Joseph "Joe" Scanlon, MD is a fictional character in the ABC daytime drama Port Charles.
He has been played by Michael Dietz from June 1, 1997 to June 1999, David Gail from July 2, 1999 to Fall 2000, and Alex Mendoza from August 2000 to July 3, 2001 and February 19, 2002 to March 6, 2002.
Storylines[]
Karen and Jagger's marriage crumbled and they were divorced in the winter of 1997.
Karen was then engaged to Joe Scanlon, but they called the engagement off when Frank Scanlon and Courtney made Joe look like a sex addict. However, Karen found out it was Frank framing Joe but didn't find out Courtney was helping him. Joe and Karen became friends again, but not engaged (yet.) Joe was still trying to recover from the framing and hadn't yet proposed to Karen again since Karen didn't trust him when he was being framed.
Karen and Joe tried again, but ultimately ended their relationship to part as friends.
