Jon Hanley was a fictional character in the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.
He was played on recurring by Lee Mathis from 1994 to 1996. Hanley had AIDS because the actor did and the character died of AIDS when Mathis did.
Storylines[]
Attorney Jon Hanley was an HIV+ gay man who became friends with Lucy. He became the co-chair of the Nurses Ball and made appearances on the 1994 and 1995 Balls. Jon told Stone his story after Stone found out he was also HIV+. Jon volunteered at the Bradley Ward House taking care of babies with HIV and AIDS.
During the 1996 Nurses Ball, Lucy made an announcement that Jon had passed away that afternoon due to AIDS-related complications.
