On October 25, 2017, Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Braun would be returning to GH as a new character, debuting on November 22.[1][2] On November 17, it was revealed that she will be portraying Kim Nero, Oscar's mom.[3][4]
She made her first appearance on November 22, 2017.
On May 22, 2019, Soaps.com announced that Tamara Braun (along with Billy Miller) would temporarily be offscreen for storyline reasons
when their characters head to Mt. Kilimanjaro during the week of May 27-31.[5] They were last seen on May 28 and they made appearances on June 4 & 12 before they returned on June 17.
On October 15, 2019, rumors began to surface that Braun has finished filming and may soon be leaving the show, although nothing has officially been confirmed yet.[6][7]
On November 13, 2019, Braun confirmed at a recent fan event that she is indeed leaving GH.[8][9] Her last day was said to be on November 18, but due to news coverage of impeachment hearings, GH episodes were preempted by a day.
She made her last appearance on November 19, 2019.
Upon her departure, Braun revealed that due to the turning point in her character, she began to guess that her character would be written out and was not happy with her storyline. She also revealed that GH blindsided her when they decided to let her go from the series.[10]
In 2021, rumors began to surface that GH might soon recast the role of Kim Nero and may bring the character back to the show, but nothing has been confirmed.
She knew Drew Cain in San Diego, California back in 2001 and their relationship was brief and intense. They also conceived a son who she named Oscar Nero and never told Drew. In 2017, she met Patient 6 and was shocked because he looked exactly like Drew but Patient 6 said he was not Drew, he was Jason Morgan but that he does have a twin named Drew. She also learned that the man who was currently known as Jason Morgan at the time was actually Andrew Cain, but since Drew was hit by a car in 2014, he no longer looks like the Drew she knew.
She is good friends with Elizabeth Webber, Julian Jerome, Dr. Hamilton Finn, and Carly Corinthos. However, since Elizabeth's husband Franco Baldwin was imprinted with Drew's memories, she fell for him and began fighting with Elizabeth over Franco since she doesn't want to lose "her Drew" again. In the end, "Drew" decided to go through with the procedure as he knew that Franco's life wasn't his to live, Kim accepted this decision and left town without him.
Ever since her son passed away, she's become mentally unstable as she is being filled with delusions.
Storylines[]
She is first seen at the Corinthos house for Thanksgiving with her son Oscar on November 22, 2017. She eventually saw a man called Patient 6 and mistook him for Drew, but Patient 6 said that his name was Jason Morgan, but he did have a twin whose name was Andrew. It was clear that Drew is the love of her life.
On November 28, Kim tracked down Oscar and his girlfriend Josslyn Jacks and she met "Jason Morgan" and his wife Sam. When she left their penthouse, Oscar said that that man was the "other Jason" and that he might be Andrew Cain with another face. On December 5, she overheard Maxie Jones and Nathan West discuss the fact that the mysterious Patient 6 was Jason Morgan and the person everyone thought was Jason was actually his twin, Andrew Cain.
On December 8, Kim told Drew that he is Oscar's father and that although they didn't know each other for long the time they did spend together was intense and she got pregnant with Oscar.

On March 2, Drew and Kim were chaperoning Oscar and Josslyn's dance at the Floating Rib and they got caught in an earthquake. Oscar and Josslyn were trapped in the freezer but were eventually freed and Drew was trapped under a freezer door but was saved by Dante Falconeri and Franco Baldwin.
On March 14, Kim revealed to Julian that she still has feelings for Drew, though she has begun to fall for him.
On August 16, Kim seems to recognize the new DA Margaux Dawson from the past, though she can't recall from where.
On September 5, it's revealed that their son Oscar is dying of an inoperable Grade IV Glioblastoma and it is growing rapidly (Kim knew for two years and didn't tell him).
On New Years Eve, 2018, Kim kissed Drew but things did not go much further, as Kim is committed to her relationship with Julian. Julian later broke up with Kim and claimed he slept with someone else which broke Kim's heart, so Drew berated Julian for breaking Kim's heart. However, in February, Kim told Drew that she and Julian were giving their relationship another shot.
On March 22, 2019, Terry told Oscar and parents that he has 6 weeks to a month left to live but on April 4, Oscar has a severe seizure that caused him to fall on the bridge and rushed to General Hospital where parents and Josslyn get news he's in a coma and Terry said if he wakes up he won't the same again.
On April 29, (shown on May 1), Kim's son Oscar died in his sleep.
On June 4, Kim and Drew planned to pour their son Oscar ashes on mountain Kilimanjaro.
On June 12, while staying in the vacation cabin Kim fainted and was starting to hallucinate about her son Oscar and thought Drew was their son Oscar which Drew plays along and possibly revealed that she is pregnant with Julian's child as she told "Oscar" about "his little brother or sister" but she finally gets better soon after.
On June 17, Kim returns home from mountain Kilimanjaro and it turns out Kim Is not really pregnant she just hallucinating and want a baby so she told Julian to give her a baby but he turns her down by saying Oscar is gone and no baby is going to replace him. Kim invites Drew to her apartment and she kisses him and she and she proposes that they have a baby together. He tells her no and she tries to convince him and still refuses the offer. Drew leaves and Kim calls Shiloh to help her convince Drew to want to have a baby with her. Julian interrupts the conversation and he tells Kim why she needs to stay away from Shiloh.
On July 8, Kim cuts the power to the Haunted Star at Franco and Elizabeth's wedding reception, gets Drew alone, and injects him with a sedative. She then takes him to a nearby bedroom and begins to undress him while undressing herself as well. Before she can have sex with Drew, Kim is stopped by Julian and he helps comfort her about Oscar never being able to be recreated. Meanwhile, after waking up, Drew decides not to press any charges against Kim.
On August 14, Kim ran into Franco at the hospital who started talking about her past with Drew in 1st person as if he lived in those moments with her and he kissed her with Elizabeth and the real Drew watching. Kim was shocked and wanted answers about what was going on. She soon learned that Franco has Drew's memories from a procedure done by Dr. Arthur Cabot. She becomes conflicted over her feelings over Julian and "Drew".
In September, "Drew" (Franco) told Kim that the real Drew never made it to Afghanistan and is presumed dead. Kim was devastated and "Drew" comforted her about Drew's presumed death and they end up sleeping together. When Julian later finds out that Kim slept with "Drew", he breaks up with her.
On October 9, Kim met with a lawyer shark named Martin Gray in hopes of fighting Elizabeth for Franco's rights since she believes "Franco" is gone and he is "Drew" now and wants a future with him.
On November 19, Kim decides to leave Port Charles. It is later revealed that she knew she was pregnant before leaving town.
On December 11, 2020, it was revealed that Kim had another child named Andrew but she and the nanny calls him Andy. Julian finds Kim's apartment in New York City and attempts to meet with her. He instead meets her nanny and learns she has an infant son Andy - named after Oscar's presumed deceased father. With the threat of Sonny and Jason close upon him, Julian leaves, and the nanny calls Kim at the hospital where she works, telling her that Julian was there and doesn't know Andy is his son.
On March 24, 2022, Anna asks if Drew reached out to Kim about Operation Demeter. He says he did and she doesnโt remember him mentioning it.
