Emily Quartermaine and Elizabeth Webber at L&B. (2000)
Lois Cerullo became best friends with Brenda Barrett and the two decided to open their own record company, L&B Records, with Sonny Corinthos as their financial backer. The company initially operated out of the Quartermaine Gatehouse before relocating to its own separate location in the city.
In 1996, Edward Quartermaine, determined to end Ned's singing career, acquired L&B, from Lois and Brenda. However, with assistance from Jasper Jacks, Lois regained control of her company. Consequently, Jax secured a position on the ELQ board, much to Edward's frustration.
Lois returned to Port Charles in 2004 to help Ned rein in their teenage daughter. Brook Lynn Quartermaine had moved in with her father after she and Lois had disagreed over the interest Lois had in managing Brook's singing career. Lois decided to reopen L&B records and she met with Jasper Jacks and Lorenzo Alcazar to discuss possible backers for the label. Lois convinced Brook to sing as part of an all-girl band which also included Georgie Jones, Lorenzo's niece Sage Alcazar, and Dillon Quartermaine dressed in drag.
Although Lorenzo was in love with Carly Spencer, he flirted with Lois and they bonded over the difficulties of raising teenage girls. When Sage was murdered, Lois comforted Lorenzo and they slept together. Lois hoped their relationship would turn into something more than friendship but Lorenzo's heart belonged only to Carly. Lorenzo did give L&B the rights to song lyrics Sage had written before her death.
Lois left Port Charles to manage other singers, which at one point included her daughter. When Brook returned to town in 2010, she revealed that her mother lived in London and managed several successful bands in Europe. In 2020, Lois was mentioned living in Australia while managing bands there.
In June 2023, Ned Quartermaine, under the delusion that he is his '90s rockstar alter ego Eddie Maine due to a head injury, slips away to The Savoy, craving the thrill of performance. He encounters Nina Reeves, Michael Corinthos, and Sonny (who knew him in the '90s) and hears Sonny mention a business investment from years prior. A friend (Ned's ex-wife) who co-ran L&B Records managed a singer who is "living the crazy life" (A reference to Ricky Martin's [ex-Miguel Morez] "Living La Vida Loca"). Eddie doesn't react to hearing about L&B or Lois and shocks the crowd by taking the stage to sing. His impromptu performance ends with a collapse, leading Sonny to offer him shelter at the penthouse. The next day, his wifeOlivia Quartermaine brings a photo album to help restore his memories, but it's his old guitar that triggers a slight recognition. Slowly rebuilding connections with the Quartermaines and bonding with his son Leo, "Eddie" finally makes his way back to the Quartermaine mansion. Lois Cerullo's return to town and her move into the mansion begin to reawaken Ned's memories.
