L'Académie Oddette (French for "The Odette Academy") is a boarding school located in the Reconvilier municipality in Switzerland .[1] [2]
History [ ] Charlotte Cassadine receives a mysterious package at boarding school (2022)
On April 18, 2022, Valentin Cassadine tells Anna Devane that after the incident with Peter August kidnapping his daughter Charlotte Cassadine , he sent her away to boarding school.
On May 4, 2022, it is revealed Charlotte is in a European boarding school where she can ride horses . Her grandfather Victor Cassadine was the one to drop her off.
On July 7, it is revealed that Victor is holding Charlotte hostage at the boarding school to get Valentin to do his biding. Valentin can only text Charlotte.
On September 1, Valentin tells Anna that Victor brought Charlotte to see him as he recovered at a clinic , then Victor took her to a fancy boarding school. Valentin was only allowed to communicate with his daughter. He and Anna agree to find Charlotte and bring Victor down together. Lucy Coe is blackmailed by Anna into flirting with Victor for information.
On September 30, Charlotte texts Valentin a picture from the boarding school. Lucy is unreliable so Valentin and Anna decide that his ex-wife Nina Reeves will help them.
On October 18, Valentin points out to Victor that others are starting to wonder why he hasn't visited Charlotte yet. Victor agrees to allow it, telling him he must leave immediately in the Cassadine private jet. Valentin stops first at Anna's, letting her know about the trip and believing his father is going to have killed - but he has to take the chance to see his daughter again, and he leaves. The next day, Victor and Anna verbally spar at the crime scene where Lucy vanished after the sound of gunshots - Anna thinks it's quite the coincidence that his son is now unreachable since Victor sent him to Switzerland just as the chaos happens.
In November 2022, after helping Valentin free Charlotte from her grandfather's hostage grip on her in Switzerland, Kevin and Laura move Charlotte into their penthouse back in Port Charles.
On September 25, 2023, while admiring their new house , Charlotte remembers receiving a mysterious package while in Switzerland. It contained a deck of gold gilded-edge Tarot Cards in a velvet bag, and a handwritten letter from her grandfather Victor. She keeps the deck on her and now knows how to draw and read them.
On April 30, 2024, Valentin reveals to Anna that during Charlotte's therapy she decided she wanted to return to boarding school; she's now back in Switzerland attending her former school.
