Olivia St. John (also went by Jerome) was a fictional character on ABC soap opera General Hospital. She was portrayed by Tonja Walker.
Storylines
Olivia was a mobster with ties to the Jerome mob family. She was romantically involved with Duke Lavery. She found herself in a power struggle over her father Victor's mob business against her brother Julian Jerome and their illegitmate half-brother Dino. Olivia was almost killed by Dino, but she survived and suffered a severe brain injury and had to be institutionalized. Dino was arrested, and Victor died after becoming insanely obsessed with Lucy Coe.
Her brother Julian would eventually become the head of the Jerome empire, but was seeking revenge on Duke for turning against his father. Her brother tried to enlist Olivia in a plan to get back at Duke for his betrayal. However, their plan misfired, and Duke's wife, Anna Devane, miscarried their unborn child. Olivia tried to alert Anna about Julian's plans, but Julian killed her before she could.
Duke wanted revenge, but was "killed" trying. However, a man, a imposter named Jonathan Paget, shows up looking like Duke. Julian and "Duke" engaged in a shootout. Both appeared to have died. However in 2013, Julian Jerome has arrived back in town under the alias of Derek Wells. The real Duke Lavery was revealed in 2012 to be alive and was being held prisoner in a Turkish prison. It is unclear if Olivia is also alive using the nickname Ava or is actually died and Ava is a previously unknown sister to Olivia.
