Patty McCormack is an American actress, known for temporarily portraying Dr. Monica Quartermaine on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital.
Patty is best known for her performance as Rhoda Penmark in Maxwell Anderson's 1956 psychological drama The Bad Seed.
In April 2018, it was announced that McCormack would join the cast of General Hospital temporarily replacing Leslie Charleson in the role of Monica Quartermaine due to injuries Charleson sustained in a fall.
On April 17, 2018 Charleson injured her leg while taking her dog for a walk, which ended up causing her not to be able to film upcoming episodes of the show, until she is fully healed and ready to start filming again, actress Patty McCormack will temporarily replace her first appearing on May 7.
On June 30, 2018 it was announced that Charleson is ready to return to GH after recuperating for 2 months. She will start filming her new scenes starting July 23. Charleson returned on August 6, 2018.
