Dr. Rachel Locke was a fictional character on the now defunct American daytime soap opera Port Charles.

Storylines[]

Upon her arrival in town, Dr. Rachel Locke secured a position as a psychiatrist at General Hospital. She leveraged her acquaintance with Dr. Ellen Burgess to orchestrate a job transfer for Ellen to San Francisco, effectively removing her from the scene. Subsequently, Ellen vanished under mysterious circumstances, and Rachel claimed Ellen's former apartment for herself.

Rachel assumed the role of Julie Devlin's psychiatrist, staunchly advocating for her during Julie's trial as the suspected "General Homicide killer". Despite Julie's guilt as the serial killer, it was revealed that she had been manipulated by Greg Cooper. Rachel fervently campaigned for Julie's release.

It was later revealed that Rachel had ties to the nefarious D.V. Bordisso, who met his demise from a gunshot wound shortly thereafter.

Rachel, along with her mother Estelle Reese, harbored a deep-seated animosity towards Kevin Collins, convinced that he was responsible for the death of Grace Reese during their marriage. Their vendetta escalated to the point where Estelle contaminated the wedding cake at Kevin and Eve Lambert's nuptials. Fortunately, Courtney, the sole consumer of the cake, suffered no lasting harm.

After Scott Baldwin and Lucy Coe gained full custody of Julie's daughter Christina, Julie was devastated. During an afternoon visit with Frank Scanlon, Christina's biological father, Julie knocked him out and abducted Christina. Scott's search was futile. Lucy held Rachel responsible for Julie's actions.

Rachel's daughter, Livvie Locke, arrived in town to Rachel's dismay. Livvie became friends with Chris and moved into Lucy's hotel room. Lucy informed Kevin about Livvie, leading to secret therapy sessions in the hotel room. Discovering this, Chris leveraged the information against Rachel, telling her Kevin was meeting a girl in a hotel room, omitting it was Livvie. Concurrently, Alison Barrington, having killed a man named Cedric, sought therapy. Kevin initially treated her, but Rachel took over, upsetting Alison.

Rachel aimed to have Kevin dismissed by disclosing his clandestine hotel visits to the hospital board. Livvie, learning of her mother's scheme, interrupted the board meeting, denouncing Rachel as a liar. Meanwhile, Lucy suspected Livvie might be Kevin's child. A DNA test confirmed it: Livvie was indeed Kevin's daughter. Chris placed the results in Eve's locker, Kevin's wife at the time. Eve confronted Kevin for the truth in his office, unaware of Livvie's presence. Livvie, revealed, fled the room. At Amanda Barrington's Phantom Ball, Kevin accused Rachel, who falsely claimed Ryan, Kevin's brother, was Livvie's father, only to later admit Kevin was the father. Nonetheless, Kevin deduced Rachel wasn't Livvie's biological mother, suspecting his late ex-wife Grace was.

Amidst these events, Ian and Eve were probing the mysterious appearance of blue dots on people's necks, which led to their deaths. They suspected Dr. Mark Boardman was involved. During an afternoon at the park, Lucy was rendered unconscious and later hospitalized, a blue dot marking her neck. Days later, Ian confronted Boardman in the GH parking garage, where Boardman drew a gun on him. In a sudden twist, a car sped through, shooting Boardman, who was later arrested for drug trafficking after his recovery.

Rachel ambushed Kevin, drugging him, and abducted Lucy, holding them hostage in a laboratory. She confessed to orchestrating the blue dot deaths, driven by her mother Estelle's affliction, in a desperate search for a cure. Rachel admitted to assaulting Lucy in the park and shooting Dr. Boardman. She then injected Lucy with a fertility-compromising drug. Ian and Eve stormed the lab, rescuing Kevin and Lucy, but Rachel fled with Livvie's aid. Kevin later encountered Rachel at the docks, where she attempted to drown them both, only for Mac to rescue them, though both were left unconscious. Kevin awoke, but Rachel lapsed into a coma and was institutionalized for her crimes.

In 2001, vampire Caleb Morley conjured an illusion of Rachel to manipulate Livvie. Despite Livvie's claims to Jack and Alison of Rachel's release, she found Rachel comatose during a visit.

Livvie periodically visited Rachel, who remained unresponsive in her coma.
