Rhonda Wexler was a fictional character on the ABC soap opera General Hospital and its former spinoff Port Charles.

Galik-Furey portrayed Rhonda on General Hospital from 1992-94 and on Port Charles in 1997 and 2001.

Rhonda is the mother of Karen Wexler. She and Scott Baldwin met as teenagers and had a brief fling right after their high school prom, resulting in Karen's birth. Rhonda never told Scott about her teenage pregnancy and raised Karen as a single mother.

Rhonda was a struggling alcoholic and always felt the need to have men in her life to support and take care of her. When Rhonda first arrived in town, Karen was reluctant to let anyone know that she was her mother.

However, Rhonda struck up a friendship with Alan Quartermaine, that might have led to more, but came to an abrupt end when he killed her "boyfriend" -- a guy who was beating her up and had molested Karen when she was a child. Rhonda never quite remembered him hurting Karen.

After Karen married Jagger Cates and left for San Francisco, Rhonda finally revealed to Karen and Scott, that Scott was Karen's biological father.

Never being a huge fan of Jagger, Rhonda tried to encourage Karen to leave him. When Scott returned to Port Charles, Rhonda went to work as his secretary. Eventually he sent her off to handle some of his overseas business. She later returned briefly to meddle in Karen's love life again before leaving town.
