Ronald David "Ron" Carlivati was the head writer for the ABC soap opera General Hospital. He was born November 25, 1968 in Rochester, New York. On December 1, 2011, it was announced that Carlivati had been hired as head writer, effective January 9, 2012. Carlivati was previously the head writer of One Life to Live from May of 2007 until the show's end in January of 2012. On July 24, 2015, it was announced that Carlivati had been let go from the show, effective August 10, 2015.[1]
