The Scorpios are a fictional family on the American soap opera General Hospital.
Supercouples Robert Scorpio and Anna Devane, Robert Scorpio and Holly Sutton, and Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio-Drake are part of this family.

Australian expatriate Robert Scorpio arrived in Port Charles in 1980 as an undercover agent for the W.S.B. After aiding Luke Spencer and Laura Webber in The Ice Princess affair, Robert settled in Port Charles and was appointed Police Commissioner in 1982. The following year, he fell in love with and married Holly Sutton, and they moved into the original Scorpio House.
In 1985, Robert Scorpio's ex-wife, Anna Devane, also a W.S.B. agent, arrived in town and revealed they had a daughter named Robin Scorpio. That year, Robert resigned as Police Commissioner of Port Charles, intending to start over with Holly and left the city. After Robert's successor was killed, Anna became the Police Commissioner, a role she held until Robert returned in 1987 following Holly's presumed death. Upon his return, Robert bought a new cabin, and when he and Anna remarried, they purchased a new house, delighting Robin. However, their marriage was later invalidated when Holly was found to be alive.
In 1991, Robert's estranged brother, Mac Scorpio, arrived on a freighter. Robert had blamed Mac for their parents' death in a plane crash, as Mac had been the pilot. Over time, the brothers reconciled, and Mac settled in Port Charles, opening a club named The Outback, which quickly became a local favorite.
In 1992, Cesar Faison orchestrated a boat explosion that led to Robert and Anna being presumed dead near Venezuela. Robin was left in the care of her Uncle Mac, who raised her as his own. Mac followed in his brother's footsteps, serving as the Police Commissioner of Port Charles beginning in 1996. He married Felicia Cummings in 1998, becoming a steady father figure to Mariah Maximiliana "Maxie" Jones and Georgianna "Georgie" Jones. Robin moved to Paris, France in 1999 but often returned to visit. Although Mac and Felicia divorced in 2001, they remained close, and Mac continued to play a fatherly role to Felicia's daughters.
In 2001, it was revealed that Anna was alive and residing in Pine Valley, which raised suspicions that Robert also survived the accident. Following a miscarriage, she departed Pine Valley to be with Robin in Paris and subsequently rejoined the W.S.B.
In 2005, Mac became a single father to Maxie and Georgie after Felicia left to tend to her sick grandmother, Mariah Ramirez. Later that year, Robin returned and started working as a doctor at General Hospital, where she began a relationship with her colleague, Patrick Drake.
In 2006, Robert's survival was confirmed when he returned to Port Charles to assist the W.S.B. in tracking down a deadly encephalitis virus. Robin, Holly, and Anna were deeply upset by Robert's choice to stay hidden for many years. The Scorpio family faced another tragedy in 2007 when Georgie was murdered by a serial killer known as the text-message killer. Maxie was particularly devastated by her sister's death. In 2008, Robin married her longtime boyfriend Patrick, one month after the birth of their daughter, Emma Grace Scorpio-Drake.
In 2012, Robin was taken by Faison and presumed dead after an explosion at GH. After Robin's supposed demise, Anna chose to stay in Port Charles. She was reinstated as Police Commissioner when mayor, Janice Lomax, dismissed Mac, who had held the position for 16 years. Mac took over management of The Floating Rib. Felicia also came back to Port Charles, reuniting and remarrying Mac in 2013. That year, Maxie, pregnant with her longtime boyfriend Damian Spinelli's child, gave birth to a daughter named Georgie Spinelli, after her late sister. Months later, Robert and Anna successfully rescued Robin from Faison. However, shortly after reuniting with her family, Robin left town once more, coerced by Victor Cassadine. Patrick divorced Robin within the year.
In 2015, upon learning that Robin was now being held captive by Jerry Jacks, Patrick was alerted and Robert swiftly came back to lead a rescue mission. Following a successful operation by Anna, Robert, and Patrick to free Robin, she and Patrick chose to relocate to California with Emma, only after a wedding ceremony amongst their family and friends.
In 2017, Robin and Patrick welcomed their second child, a son named Noah Scorpio-Drake.
After his global espionage work for the W.S.B., Robert has resettled in Port Charles, now serving as the District Attorney. Mac has resumed his duties at the PCPD following the demise of the Floating Rib.
Maxie has welcomed two additional children - in 2018, she had James Malcolm West with her late husband, Detective Nathan West, and in 2021, Bailey Louise Jones with the infamous Peter August. Coincidentally, both children's fathers are the sons of the notorious Cesar Faison.
It was disclosed on November 9, 2022, through a DNA test, that Cody Bell is Mac's long-lost son with the deceased Dominique Baldwin.
