Selina Wu aka Ms. Wu, is a fictional character from the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.[1]
Until December 9, 2021, her first name was "Nina". Prior to the change, she was primarily referred to as "Ms. Wu" or "Madame Wu" presumably to avoid confusion with Nina Reeves.
She was played by Lydia Look on August 5, 2015, September 25 & 28, 2015, then again on August 29, 2017, then again on May 4 & 5, 2021, and most recently on August 18, 2021. Look returned again on September 10, 2021. She was next seen on November 8, 2021.
On January 14, 2022, Soaps In Depth revealed that Look will be taking a break from GH.[2] She was last seen on December 15, 2021. Look returned as Selina on March 14, 2022 and was onscreen until March 13, 2024.
On December 27, 2024, the GH 2025 preview revealed Selina is returning in the new year.[3] On January 16, 2025, Look returned.[4]

In August, at a Five Families meeting Sonny Corinthos says there is a traitor in the group. Selina Wu asks him who he is referring to. Sonny reveals that this happened in Serge's territory. Serge claimed he got an offer from someone. Sonny wanted to know who this person was. Serge eventually admits they are in the Jerome family. Sonny's enforcer Jason Morgan is dead, Shawn Butler is in prison, and Duke Lavery is dead. He has no one to protect him. Sonny suddenly shoots Serge. Selina tells everyone to put their guns down. She explains that Serge violated his alliance and Sonny was within his rights to exact justice as he saw fit. She asks if he has someone else that he wants to call out. He says not now but let this be a warning.
In September, Michael Corinthos took Sonny's place at a Five Families meeting. Ava Jerome shows up for the Jerome family. Michael wants to know who shot Sonny. Ava claims she recently became the head of the Jeromes and had nothing to do with previous attacks. Selina tells Ava that she is making a serious claim and an attack on one of them is an attack on them all. Ava says it was a well-connected man that they all know. Michael gets tired of Ava's vague answers and prepares to leave. Selina asks if Ava is intending to make enemies because that is what she is doing. Ava clarifies that it was Carlos Rivera who shot Sonny while she knows it was really Paul Hornsby.
Selina asks Ava if she is saying that Carlos killed Duke and went after Sonny with no authorization from Julian Jerome. Ava says that is correct. Michael wants Ava to produce Carlos and she said he disappeared when she became head of the Jeromes. Michael wonders why he wouldn't stick around to be number two. Ava suggests that he is only interested in being number one. Michael asks why Carlos is suddenly interested in being the leader since he has been a low-level gangster so far. Ava says that people change and Michael retorts that people lie. Selina asks Michael what he is implying. He says it is convenient that Carlos isn't here.
Selina Wu points out that the fight between Sonny and the Jeromes has had a damaging repercussion on all of the group. She seconds a call for an immediate ceasefire. Michael and Ava agree to peace unless there is an attack. Then Michael will assume the Jeromes are behind it.
In August 2017, Sonny calls a Five Families meeting to announce his retirement. Ms. Wu tells him they have heard the rumors and says it is unlikely that a man in his position would step down. Sonny explains that Drew Quartermaine (as "Jason") has already retired and he would be splitting up the rest of his territories between the remaining families except for except for his legit businesses like Corinthos Coffee.
On May 4, 2021, when another meeting with the Five Families is arranged. Cyrus Renault attends and everyone there, including Selina, refers to him as "Mr. Renault." The meeting is about to begin until Carly Spencer arrives, presumably in Jason's place (Jason had been shot), saying "not so fast." She takes her seat at the opposite end of the table, across from where Selina is seated THEN gives her permission for the meeting to commence.
On August 17, 2021, Jason arrives at a Five Families meeting. Carly has to pick up Josslyn Jacks at Wyndemere Castle so she can't attend the meeting. Selina was unhappy with Carly's absence and called this unacceptable. Selina also tells Jason she considers Carly a liability and thinks she should be eliminated. Jason views this as a threat and lets her know he will not allow that, that he and Carly are getting married and that they are co-running the organization. Just as Carly arrived at the meeting, it'd already ended as everyone -- except Jason -- were up out of their seats and exiting the room where the meeting was being held, with Vincent telling Carly he'll be looking for his invitation to their wedding in the mail.
On September 17, Selina Wu warns Jason after the wedding that Vincent Novak and Charles Buscema are planning something. Jason says he is aware and arranges for Novak and Buscema to be killed by the bomb they planted under Jason and Carly's limo.
On November 8, Sonny meets with Selina Wu. He offers to give her half of Joey Novak's holdings as thanks for saving Jason and Carly. She asks for him to help her nephewBrad Cooper who has parole soon. Sonny reluctantly agrees to not interfere if Brad gets parole and says he will not retaliate against Brad as long as Brad stays away from Michael and Wiley Corinthos. Selina agrees to the terms and says they are now even.
On December 14, Brad is paroled after his hearing despite Michael speaking against him. Ms. Wu (now referred to as Selina) takes Brad to breakfast at the Metro Court Hotel with Brad. Selina got Brad a job and has him living with her. He says he has never even met her. Selina says she was respecting his adoptive parents wishes but she has been keeping tabs on him. Michael is mad to see Brad at Carly's restaurant. He threatens Brad and Selina who threatens Michael back.
On April 4, 2022, Selina revealed to Britt Westbourne that she knew her father, Cesar Faison and that he and Britt had committed a crime in 2016 while in Lisbon. Selina blackmailed Britt into letting her manipulate Brad into working for her. Selina wants Brad to manage poker games at the Savoy instead of his preferred job, being an orderly at the hospital. Curtis Ashford had turned down Selina's offer and she sent him a money tree.
On April 5, with Deception Cosmetics going public, Selina buys stock to become a major investor. She surprises everyone by showing up at the celebration at the Savoy, where she continues to attempt to persuade Curtis to allow poker games for her select friends, like Judge Abbott, to help keep the peace around town.
Eventually Curtis agrees to allow the poker games in his club when Selina gets him his fatherMarshall Ashford's sealed arrest records. Selina works out an arrangement with Sonny to have poker games in town. Jordan Ashford also comes into the Savoy to investigate the poker games.
In June, Linc Brown goes to a poker game and Cody Bell uses the password to enter the game and win. Selina is upset he ended the game early, takes his winnings, and has him beaten by her bodyguard Mr. Li in the back alley.
In September, Cody wanted to play poker for Selina to make some quick cash before leaving town. She offers him a job as a fixer during the games and he takes her up on it.
In January 2023, Gladys Corbin as Sasha Corbin's conservator has been using Sasha's money to play Selina's poker games. She hands Selina a pair of earrings that Sasha had given her to pay off her debt. Gladys later had $175,000 in debt and offers Selina the garage that Sasha was planning to sell.
On September 19, Selina came into the Savoy with her date Zion. She said she was just there for a quick drink as there werenโt as many people going there. Marshall still refused to sell to her so Selina tells Zion they should go to the new club Intrigue downtown as it is always packed.
On March 13, 2024, Selina comes into the Savoy and claims to have information for Curtis on who shot him. He thinks she only wants this info for the backroom to play cards again. Selina says she is warning Curtis that Jason shot him under Sonnyโs orders. She theorizes that Sonny could have staged his shootings as he was never hit during the assassination attempts on him. Sonny plans to annex new territories with Jason, the enforcer no one will see coming. Anyone in Sonny's way will be taken out. Selina tells Curtis to think about it as she leaves.
On October 11, back at the GH lab as a technician, Brad shares with Cody that his aunt realized he wasn't a good fit for her business.
In January 2025, Cody asks Brad if he can make a bet with Selina as Cody is trying to buy Serenity Mansion. Brad says he hasn't spoken to Selina.
