The Hook[1] is a fictional character in the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.
She was portrayed by an unknown actor on August 26, 2022 and returned on September 13-14, 26, October 6, November 9, December 15 and 30, 2022, and January 3, 2023. Alley Mills portrayed The Hook from January 3 to February 22, 2023 after Heather Webber was revealed to be the killer.
On August 26, 2022 during the Quartermaine picnic, someone goes into the Quartermaine Boathouse and takes a pair of gloves. They look around and take a hook off the wall with their left hand. Ava Jerome is outside the boathouse as the killer comes up behind her and stabs her in the stomach with the hook.
On September 13, suspicious of Dex Heller, Brando Corbin follows Josslyn Jacks to the back alley of Charlie's Pub as Josslyn looks for Dex to give him the sunglasses he left on their table. The hooded figure follows Josslyn in an alley, but Brando distracts the killer who stabs him in the abdomen with the hook. Brando's cousinKristina Corinthos-Davis walks by the pub and witnesses the attack. She screams, causing the killer to run away before they can strike Brando a second time.
On September 19, Brando tells Jordan about the attack. He couldn't see much in the dark except The Hook wearing a black hoodie and he heard the jingling of jewelry like bracelets before being stabbed. At the pool, Dex is shown wearing jingling dogtags around his neck.
Invader article about the attacks (2022)
On September 20, Brando dies after surgery. After his death Alexis publishes an Invader article taunting the Hook.
On September 21, a toxin screen reveals that the hook used on Brando was laced in a poison, and Brando died as a result of the toxin. The Hook is supposedly shown stalking Anna at Pier 54 but it turned out to be a false alarm. Jordan was holding, with a gloved hand, the same type of hook that she had just picked up at the marina shop.
On September 22, Finn recognizes the poison used on The Hook's gaffing hook as reptile venom. Finn explains to Jordan that right out of medical school, he accepted a Doctors Without Borders posting to the Mariana Islands in Micronesia and Reiko Finn went with him. They had a doctor colleague, Garrett, who died from a painful snakebite while on the island.
On September 26, Diane is stabbed by The Hook at Xtreme Motors. Dex is found next to her body when Alexis and Gregory come in. She is rushed to the hospital as the anti-venom is being delivered. Dex is arrested for being at all three attack sites. Sonny arrives at the Port Charles Police Department and takes Dex home.
A woman...with a hook and a bracelet (2022)
On October 4, Diane is recovering from surgery and a successful use of the anti-venom when she tells Sonny, Robert, and Dante that The Hook is a woman with jangling bracelets.
On October 6, Oz Haggerty is attacked and killed by The Hook on Pier 55.
Type-written letter to Alexis from The Hook (2022)
On November 2, Alexis receives a letter written by the Hook the day after Oz is killed. It was written on a typewriter with a broken "O" key.
On November 3, Jordan tells Josslyn and Trina that the Hook is after people connected to Trina. Jordan tells the girls they will have to leave the dorms for now. Josslyn tries to get a hold of Cameron who runs into Drew on Oscar and Josslyn's bridge. Drew tells Carly when she calls that Cameron is with him. When Cameron goes to Kelly's, he finds Josslyn and Dex together and refuses a ride home from Dex but he gets home safely.
On November 7, Nikolas points out to Esme that she has been held in the North Tower of Wyndemere for a month and the Hook attacks have stopped. She claims she isn't the Hook.
On November 8, Esme ties bed-sheets together and forces open a window with a knife before escaping.
On November 9, Nikolas is attacked by the Hook in Wyndemere. He falls and recognizes the hook as one from his boathouse. He suspects Esme attacked him. Esme in a hood hides on the pier when she sees someone coming. It is Liz who is waiting for the launch to meet Nikolas at Wyndemere.
On November 10, Nikolas accused Esme of attacking him. She claims she didn't and he locks her back up in the North Tower.

Earring clue? (2022)
On December 14, Dante updates Jordan and Rory that the venom is from a sea krait, a highly venomous, semi-aquatic snake, from the South Asian islands. He has a list of five local residents who have been arrested for smuggling exotic animals within the last ten years. Rory leaves after taking a picture of the file. He heads to an apartment where The Hook is waiting behind the door to hook him. The Hook killed the animal smuggler who lived there before Rory got into the apartment. Dante kicks in the door and finds Rory who is rushed to the hospital. Jordan arrives with two officers and Dante tells her the Hook must have jumped out the window.
There is limited anti-venom left and even after being given it, Rory dies at GH. Liz finds a gold earring in his pocket and suspects it might belong to the Hook as Trina says it isn't hers.
On December 22, it is revealed that the earring had DNA from Gloria Wilson. Ryan tells his past lover Heather Webber that she stole that earring years ago from his chain of keepsakes regarding his murder victims.
On New Year's Eve in 2022 (shown from December 30, 2022 to January 3, 2023), the Hook tried to attack Josslyn again, but Dr. Britt Westbourne attacked her to save Josslyn. Later on, Dex showed up and shot The Hook in the arm before she took off. It was finally revealed that The Hook is Heather Webber.
Heather the Hook is caught (2023)
In February 2023, Heather escapes from Spring Ridge with Ryan and Esme as she wants to hook Josslyn. Ryan stops at Wyndemere to take Ava with them. Heather hooks Austin but later reveals the hook wasnโt poisoned. It is revealed she was The Hook and she is arrested. Alexis did some research and found out that The Hook's letter to her was typed on a typewriter at D'Archam Asylum. She realizes Heather is the Hook. As Heather is being led away, she tells Spencer on Pier 55 that he was next.
At the PCPD, Heather is taken to the interrogation room where Sasha poses as a lawyer. Heather claims she was confused and Ryan took advantage of her. When Sasha leaves, Heather is questioned about the hook attacks and confesses to all of them including the one on Nikolas which the PCPD weren't aware about.
Esme Prince: The Hook attacks are against Trina. Was Esme really in the North Tower when Rory was killed? Did Demetrius help her escape?
Jennifer Arden: The A.D.A. who rigorously prosecuted the innocent and framed Trina Robinson in her trial for secretly filming and publicly sharing a sex tape of Cameron and Josslyn. She was visibly angry and reticent to drop the charges once Trina's innocence was proven. Victor is paying her off.
Heather Webber: She has a bacterial infection. Related to the snake venom The Hook uses? She is Esme's mother. Does she want revenge? Is she taking excursions from being locked up? She had the earring found on Rory's body after the Hook killed him.
Mac Scorpio questions Dex Heller as a suspect (2022)
Dex Heller: He was at the first three attack sites. The Hook appeared right after Dex left Charlie's Pub. Brando Corbin said he heard the jingling of jewelry before being stabbed. Dex is shown wearing jingling dogtags around his neck. After the third attack, a suspicious Mac Scorpio brings him in for questioning. He is cleared after Diane awakens and is certain the Hook is female wearing a bracelet.
Johann Bauer: The right hand and personal guard for Victor Cassadine, may be doing his bidding as the Hook killer.
Mason Gatlin: Ava Jerome overheard him and his cousin Austin Gatlin-Holt secretly talking. Mason wanted to kill Ava in case she overheard, but couldn't shake Austin following him. Austin later admitted Mason wasn't with him the whole night of the picnic.
Mr. Li: Right hand and guard for Selina Wu - may be doing her bidding as the Hook killer.
Victor Cassadine: He finds his great-nephew Nikolas fighting with his drunk son Spencer Cassadine. When he asks about it, Nikolas tells Victor that "Ava happened." Victor sees both Trina and Ava as liabilities to keeping the Cassadine family strong.
