Casting
Jennifer Hetrick stepped into the role of Veronica Wilding in 1998 and appeared until September 11 of the same year when her character was presumed dead along with Vanessa Marcil's character Brenda Barrett.
Storylines
Veronica Wilding came to Port Charles in 1998 and it was eventually revealed that she is the estranged mother of Brenda Barrett. She revealed that she has a mental illness that could be hereditary which lead to Brenda getting tested. Before she could see the results or marry Jasper Jacks, one night as they were both driving back to Port Charles Veronica drove the car over a cliff and both of them were presumed dead.
Brenda was revealed to be alive on September 4, 2002 when it was revealed that Luis Alcazar rescued her after the accident.
