Wesley "Wes" Albert Ramsey is an American television actor, who portrayed Peter August in the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital.
Life and career[]
Wes Ramsey is known for his roles on "Charmed" as Wyatt Halliwell (where he portrayed Finola Hughes' grandson), "Guiding Light" as Sam Spencer and on "Days of Our Lives" as Owen Kent.
The actor ran into GH's Executive Producer Frank Valentini in the parking lot when Ramsey had taken Laura Wright (Carly), his girlfriend, to work one day. Valentini had met Ramsey back in 2009, when Ramsey screen-tested for "One Life to Live" during the time Valentini was its show runner. Four months later, Ramsey came in to audition for GH.
Ramsey debuted as Peter August on November 14, 2017. He made his final appearance on February 23, 2022 when his character was killed off.
On March 19, 2022, Ramsey revealed during the 4th annual GH Convention in California that there are no plans to bring him back to GH but he would be open to returning as Peter's twin. He doesn’t think that is likely though.[1]
